Next time you're strolling through Majjistral Park, keep an eye out for a burst of vibrant yellow on long stems – the hallmark of the Wavy-leaved Mullein.

This biennial herbaceous plant graces the landscape with its presence for two years, offering a delightful display of colour. Not only are its flowers a sight to behold, but the lower leaves also form an attractive basal rosette, adding to its charm.

If you're eager to spot these beauties, head over to the park's picnic area, where they proudly showcase their blooms.

Known locally as Xatbet l-Andar and scientifically classified as Verbascum sinuatum, these flowers add a touch of splendour to the park's natural tapestry.

So, on your next adventure, be sure to keep an eye out for these showy wonders!
