YAS! Michelin star chef Paolo Barrale returns to Malta serving up some delish dishes
It’s all going down this weekend!

Attention all foodies! If you're looking for a special outing this week, you're in luck. Treat your tummies this Thursday at Palazzo Parisio, the gorgeous palace in Naxxar, which will be hosting Michelin starred chef Paolo Barrale for the second time year. Just the thought of his yummy food has us drooling!

Staying true to his word, Barrale will be back on the island on 24th October, following the successful event at the end of June. And what's even better is that he’s back with an intriguing menu that takes local ingredients and gives them a Michelin twist... because obvs!

So, what can you expect on the night? Tuna mixed with bottarga and minestra with mussels and sea urchins, as well as an expert take on stuffat tal-fenek (rabbit stew) are just some of the things Barrale will be serving up.

Barrale started off working with three-star Michelin chef Heinz Beck in Italy for three years, and it is where he began to cultivate and refine his culinary philosophy, combining Italian cuisine from the north and the south. He was awarded the Michelin star in 2004 while working in a restaurant in the middle of the rolling hills of the Campanian Apennines.

Today, Chef Barrale acts as a consultant, travelling the world and collaborating with international chefs. He has prepared a specially curated menu for the night of 24th October that brings out the best of ingredients available locally, with a touch of the exotic to give everything a little extra kick. And every course (of course) is expertly paired with Italian wines.

Event deets

Intrigued (and a little hungry?) The event will be taking place at Palazzo Parisio’s Luna Restaurant at a price of €120 per person, which includes the wine pairings. You can reserve your table on 2141 2461 (Luna Restaurant Extension: 2) or send an email to [email protected].

This is the third even in the Luna Welcomes the Stars series, with Michelino Gioia from Il Pellicano in Tuscany cooking up a storm earlier in October. The series will see Michelin starred chefs coming to Palazzo Parisio from different areas in Europe on a monthly basis. So if you can’t make it this time around, be sure to check out when the next Michelin star chef is coming to Malta!
