It looks like winter weather is not over yet! A recent update by It-Temp Madwarna suggests that the second half of March is set to bring more unstable weather conditions across the Maltese Islands. According to the page, temperatures are expected to drop while the atmosphere becomes increasingly unsettled, signalling a shift away from the calmer and sunnier conditions experienced in recent days.
Forecast data shared by Maltese Islands Weather also supports this outlook. While Thursday and Friday are expected to remain mostly sunny with maximum temperatures of around 18–19°C, the situation is predicted to change as the weekend approaches.
From Saturday onwards, isolated showers are likely to affect the islands, with rain chances increasing significantly compared to earlier in the week.
The forecast indicates that Saturday, Sunday, and Monday may all experience scattered showers, accompanied by slightly cooler temperatures and stronger winds at times. Sunday in particular could feel noticeably colder, with the lowest ‘real feel’ temperature dropping to around 6°C during the night or early morning hours.
Although rainfall totals are not expected to be very high, these intermittent showers may bring a more changeable pattern typical of late winter or early spring.
Are you looking forward to the rain this weekend?
