What a time machine! Check out this incredible video showing scenes of Malta in the 1950s
How cool is this? Local creative Alessandro Bajada posted this incredible video on YouTube (38 minutes long no less) showing life and landscapes on the Maltese Islands back in the 1950s.

“This colour film is considered very rare of that era so I thought it would be great to share it with the public. I am uploading this 38-minute 8mm film, digitized, of Malta back in the 1950s,” Alessandro says in the YouTube video’s description.

“This film was filmed on 8mm and over a span of about 10 years starting from the early 50s to the early 60s.” The shots are absolutely beautiful, set to a jazzy tune to really set the tone. They almost seem to be works of art!

“This film includes lots of short clips of lots of villages and towns including Sliema, Valletta, Mellieha, Marsaxlokk, Marsascala, Ghar Lapsi, Zurrieq, St Julians, St Georges bay, Buskett and many others.” Can you spot them?
