A dedicated shuttle service will begin operating in Mellieħa on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, to maintain accessibility while long-term road works continue in the area.

The new service is designed to keep residents and visitors connected, with two separate routes covering key parts of the locality.

Route A will serve the Ingraw bus stop before travelling northbound towards the coastal area, ensuring access to the seafront and surrounding destinations. Route B will operate through Triq il-Kbira and Triq l-Etna, linking central roads with nearby neighbourhoods.

The shuttle will run daily from 5.30am until 11.00pm, with buses arriving every 20 minutes, making it a reliable option throughout the day and evening.

Travel on the Mellieħa shuttle service will be free of charge for passengers using a personalised Tallinja Card, offering a convenient and cost-effective alternative while road works remain underway.

Will you be making use of this service?
