Wednesday 27th October: Malta registers 15 new COVID-19 cases and 19 recoveries overnight

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 15 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 19 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 218.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 26th October, Malta had administered 871,592 vaccine doses. 47,312 of these were booster doses.

Fortunately, no COVID-19 deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll remains at 460.

A total of 11 patients are being treated at Mater Dei, four of whom are in ITU.
