Wednesday 24th March: Malta registers 302 recoveries & 101 new cases

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 101 new cases of COVID-19 after 2,789 swabs were done in the past 24 hours. 

The islands have registered 302 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 25,857 and the number of active cases to 2,276 Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 28,510 cases and has performed 792,598 swab tests. Over the past 24 hours, a 79-year-old male and an 84-year-old female passed away at Mater Dei. This means Malta's total number of deaths now stands at 377.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 23rd March, 155,678 vaccine doses have been administered to various people on the islands. 46,140 of these were second doses.
