Weather roundup! Strong winds, isolated showers and high temperatures predicted for Holy Week in Malta
This week's weather forecast for the central Mediterranean brings a mix of conditions that warrant attention.
While, according to Maltese Islands Weather, there's no cause for alarm, we can expect several zones of instability passing through the Maltese Islands, resulting in sporadic episodes of strong winds.
These winds will vary in direction, leading to rough seas. The wind is set to start at the start of the week with Forces 5-6 and then gradually increase to Forces 7-8 between Wednesday 27th March and Thursday 28th March.
The shifting winds will also cause conflicting wave patterns, making sea activities precarious this week. This means that if you have already started swimming this year, you might want to be cautious of doing so this week!
Though significant rainfall isn't anticipated, isolated showers are forecasted for Tuesday 26th March and Wednesday, 27th March.
Although there seems to be an instability in weather conditions this week, typical to Holy Week, the temperature is set to remain stable above 20°C for the week. The highest temperature is predicted for Good Friday at 24°C with a real feel of 26°C. The lowest temperature will be 12°C on Wednesday 27th March.
How will you be spending your Easter week?
