Rabat's Tal-Virtu area is one of the most magnificent areas in Malta. The area boasts not only a magnificent castle, called Palazzo Virtu - believed to be built in the early 20th century, but also a Rotunda chapel (dedicated to St Mary) dating back half a millenia!

The impressive castle offers magnificent 360° views of the island. A similar palazzo was also built in the Ta' Qali area however it is was destroyed during WWII bombings.
