Malta’s under 16 national women’s football team have made the country extremely proud after winning their latest game against Latvia.
The game originally finished with a score of 1-1 with Sara Saliba scoring Malta’s goal during half time. This was followed by extra time were both Latvia and Malta failed to score again.

Malta still however managed to come out on top after managing to win the game on penalties four to three.
The winning game took place at Malta’s Centenary Stadium as part of the Development Tournament.
The team will now be taking on Slovakia tomorrow, 14th April and the Faroe Islands on the 17th.
