What a stellar initiative! Popular local environmental conservation org Zibel has teamed up with a great international cause to donate unwanted clothes and shoes to those less fortunate.

“We’ve partnered up with Soles4Souls to give your shoes and clothes a second life. Every item we collect will go towards disaster relief and to help bring families out of poverty around the world. Our first container is already leaving Malta with over 20,000 garments donated to us by VFGroup going towards micro-enterprise programmes to help bring hundreds of families out of poverty.”

“You save them from going to waste, we put them to good use,” they share, saying that as Zibel, they have become their Maltese partners.

Get involved!

“Moving forward, all the excess garments from our SWAPs will be headed towards Soles4Souls. Additionally we will be releasing schemes for schools and businesses to also collaborate with us for their CSR. Whether you're a retailer, manufacturer or just an individual, get in touch to get involved. We’d love to hear from you.”

“From a waste perspective, the world buys 60% more clothes than 20 years ago, but only wears them for half the time,” the NGO notes. “Inevitably these garments end up in landfills, releasing methane and carbon dioxide. With the amount of resources that go into making these clothes, it's paramount that their life is extended as much as possible. This project serves to give them a second life, to those who desperately need them.”

You know what to do, folks!
