If any of your new year resolutions involved becoming more active, here’s some news for you! The Marsa Sports Complex has just hit a major milestone, with the official opening of its third and final phase, bringing the long-running project fully to completion.

OPM

The upgraded complex now brings together three phases: a dedicated gymnastics and multi-sport facility, the regeneration of the historic 1903 building, and a brand-new final phase featuring modern spaces for anyone wishing to practise weightlifting, squash, netball and fitness.

OPM

Spread across three floors, the complex offers state-of-the-art sports and support facilities designed for today’s athletes. The latest phase introduced new squash and netball courts, a purpose-built weightlifting centre and a high-level fitness centre, all of which are aimed at raising the standard of local sport.

The official launch also included a discussion with athletes from squash, netball and weightlifting, who shared insights into training, competition preparation and the impact that modern facilities have on performance. Hopefully the new facilities will encourage others to follow in their footsteps!

Have you checked out the upgraded complex yet?
