If you’re planning to travel between Malta and Sicily this weekend, here’s a quick heads-up to help you plan.

Due to unsettled weather, Virtu Ferries has announced that all trips scheduled for Monday 19th January have been cancelled. If you were planning to travel to Italy’s little cousin on Monday, you might want to try flying there instead.

To make things easier for passengers, extra voyages will be running on Sunday 18th January, in addition to the regular schedule.

Here are the updated voyage times for Sunday 18th January:

  • Malta → Pozzallo: 06:30 – 08:15 (scheduled)
  • Pozzallo → Malta: 10:00 – 11:45 (extra)
  • Malta → Pozzallo: 13:30 – 15:15 (extra)
  • Pozzallo → Malta: 19:30 – 21:15 (scheduled)

If you do happen to be travelling this weekend, it’s a good idea to arrive early and keep an eye on updates, just in case weather conditions cause any last-minute changes.

Safe travels!
