The event had previously caused major public backlash with concerns raised about possible structural damage to the Mnajdra temples. Events organisers were quick on their feet to ensure the event was both an artistic success and a historical celebration. "The promotion and preservation of our heritage is a cause we support in its entirety. We took several steps to ensure that no damage was done to our UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mixmag's broadcast has received extremely positive feedback from all corners of the globe, with many asking where this stunning site can be found," they said.

When contacted, District co-founder Nick Mizzi admits that after one year of hard work to bring this project to light, he is now left feeling extremely emotional post-event. “Seeing something you've been dreaming of come together in such a way makes all the effort worthwhile. Showcasing Malta's heritage to millions across the globe was always at the forefront of our vision”.
