A remarkable maritime milestone has just been reached in Maltese waters! Captain Anastasios Kafetzis, better known to his Instagram followers as @travelwithcaptaintasos, is proudly celebrating his 1,000th arrival in Malta on Azipod-powered cruise ships.

Taking to social media to mark the occasion, he expressed his gratitude to the many bridge teams who have supported him throughout his career, as well as the mentor captains who have helped shape his journey.

‘A huge milestone for me as I’ve reached 1,000 arrivals on Azipod cruise ships! A huge thank you to all my bridge teams over the years for helping me – and my mentor captains,’ he shared.

To commemorate the moment, he also posted a stunning video capturing a captain’s-eye view of the cruise ship entering Malta’s iconic Grand Harbour – a breathtaking sight showing the vessel gliding past the historic bastions and fortifications under the sunlight. It’s a perspective few get to experience and a fitting tribute to a career built at sea.

Azipod propulsion systems, known for their maneuverability and efficiency, have powered many of the world’s largest and most modern cruise ships, including those under Captain Kafetzis’ command.

Congratulations to Captain Kafetzis on this seafaring success!
