Warning! Significant rockfall at St Peter’s Pool - area unsafe as more collapses expected
Stay safe and avoid!

Francesca Vella

A recent rockfall at St. Peter’s Pool, located at the tip of Delimara Point in the south of Malta, has raised concerns for public safety. The pages Marsaxlokk Village and Get Out and Kayak have issued urgent warnings about the incident, advising people to stay clear of the area due to the high risk of further rockfalls, particularly given the strong winds in the coming days.

Fortunately, no one was harmed in the incident, as it occurred during the night when the beach was empty. However, the situation remains dangerous, with experts anticipating additional rockfalls. The local authorities and community pages are urging the public to avoid the area completely for their safety, especially during the upcoming days when more collapses could occur.

While the event could have been disastrous if it had taken place during the summer months when the beach would be packed with visitors, the current warning serves as a reminder to always stay cautious in areas prone to natural hazards like rockfalls. Stay safe, and remember to follow the safety guidelines to ensure a secure experience when visiting natural landmarks.

Spread the word and keep everyone safe!
