UPDATE: Gozo General Hospital is now equipped with 120 beds dedicated to COVID-19 patients

The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Gozo have confirmed in a statement that Gozo General Hospital is now equipped with 120 beds dedication to Coronavirus patients. This was possible once relocation of the residents at the Sant’Anna ward were relocated.

As reported this morning, the residents were moved to a nearby hotel that has been licensed to act as a residence for these elderly people and is equipped to function accordingly. The Ministries said this is one of the measures being taken together with Steward Healthcare to make sure that Gozo is well equipped to battle the virus.
