After a pandemic-induced two-year hiatus, the well-loved Ghaxaq Music Festival is set to make a grand return on 23rd  July with a very special guest…

That’s right! The festival is on track to be headlined by none other than leading UK reggae band UB40!

This year’s edition of The Ghaxaq Music Festival will see UB40 perform on the Maltese islands for the first time ever, all whilst paying tribute to former band member Astro, who heartbreakingly passed away last November.

Together with frontman Ali Campbell, UB40 will be celebrating Astro’s music and playing all the hits from their three groundbreaking albums as well as a line-up of songs from ‘Unprecedented’, the fourth and last album that Ali and Astro recorded together.

The Ghaxaq Music Festival promises yet another extraordinary festive night of music – much like 2019’s unforgettable Smokey’s concert.

Once again, the aim of this event is to recreate that unmatched festa feeling!

Thinking of attending?

Tickets have just gone on sale and can be purchased from www.showshappening.com. All proceeds from the general public will go towards the Embrace Diversity Organisation – a voluntary organisation helping children and youths with disabilities.

The Ghaxaq Music Festival enjoys the patronage of Arts Council Malta.
