Summer lovin! Żabbar Beer Fest returns with music, entertainment and a focus on sustainability
The historic Notre Dame Ditch in Żabbar, located beside Bieb is-Sultan, will once again provide a spectacular backdrop for the return of the Żabbar Beer Fest on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July.
Organised in aid of Puttinu Cares, the two-day festival promises an exciting programme of live music, entertainment and family-friendly activities, with free admission from 7:00pm onwards on both evenings.
This year's edition places a strong emphasis on sustainability. Thanks to a collaboration between the Maria Mater Gratiae Philharmonic Society and the Cleaning and Maintenance Division, the previously neglected ditch has been transformed into an attractive open-air venue. The regeneration project has created a clean, safe and welcoming public space where the community can come together to enjoy cultural events.
Festivalgoers can look forward to an impressive entertainment line-up. On Friday, legendary German DJ ATB will make his highly anticipated return to Malta, bringing his internationally acclaimed electronic music show to the festival.
Saturday will be dedicated to rock music, featuring the Maltese debut of Achtung Babies, one of the world's leading U2 tribute bands.
The programme will also include performances by some of Malta's best-known DJs and artists, including Tenishia, Clay C, Ziggy, Memphis Mac, Pierre Cordina, Cathy K and Sussu.
Beyond the music, visitors can enjoy interactive attractions, food and beverage stands, and a dedicated children's area, making the event suitable for the whole family.
As part of its commitment to reducing waste, the festival will also introduce reusable drinking cups, encouraging environmentally responsible practices while delivering another memorable summer celebration in the heart of Żabbar.
