From cheeses and chutneys to beverages and sweets, the best of local food will be on display in the heart of Valletta this weekend.
The Valletta Local Food Festival will take place in St George’s Square from Friday 3rd July to Sunday 5th July.
Organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency in collaboration with the Malta Food Agency, the festival is a celebration of local produce and traditional flavour.
Over 25 local producers, chefs, and food artisans will take part, presenting an abundant array of authentic Maltese food and drink from the present and the past.
“As a government, we remain committed to ensuring that culture is accessible to everyone and that our public spaces continue to be used to bring people closer to our heritage, creativity and identity,” Culture Minister Malcolm Paul Agius Galea said.
Valletta Cultural Agency Chairperson Jason Micallef hailed the festival as a "true celebration of Malta’s food identity” that honours local farms and artisans while bringing people together.
