Tuesday 11th August: 29 new cases & 4 recoveries of COVID-19 for Malta

According to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, Malta has registered 29 new cases of COVID-19 after 1,882 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.

The post also noted that, “New cases inclued: 3 cases from Mount Carmel Hospital, 2 cases tracing back to Paceville, 5 cases linked to positive family memebrs, while another is linked to a previously known cases at work. Contact tracing is ongoing.”

The islands have also registered four more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 692 and the number of active cases to 440. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 1,141 cases and has performed 145,267 swab tests in total.
