Malta is set for a wet spell, with isolated showers forecast for most of the week.

As per the Met Office, rain is also expected on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Temperatures will hover between highs of 29°C and 30°C, a clear sign that the extremely hot conditions of recent months are behind us.

This forecast follows a notable drop in temperatures on Monday, when the maximum reached just 27°C, in what was the first sub-30°C maximum in 72 days and the lowest daytime high in 111 days.
