International travel website Tripadvisor has ranked a walking tour of Mdina and Rabat amongst the 25 best cultural and historical tours around the world.

This comes after the site revealed its annual ‘Travelers’ Choice – Best of the Best’ lists, which count down the best activities travellers can get up to around the world.

This year, Tripadvisor published 11 ‘Best of the Best’ lists, the most prestigious one being titled ‘Top Overall Experiences - World’. Included in this list are an Amsterdam Open Boat Canal Cruise, a Tour of Hawaii’s North Shore, and a Classic Inca Trail Trek in Peru.

The remaining 10 lists focused on specific types of activities, such as ‘Nature & Outdoor Activities’, ‘Snorkeling & Water Sports’, and ‘Cultural & Historical Tours’ – the list which included the Maltese tour.

Organised by ‘Best Tours Malta’, the ‘Mdina and Rabat Insider’s Tour’ takes participants around some of the best and most popular sites at these two historic towns.

Other tours that made it onto this list include a ‘Vespa Sidecar Tour’ of Rome, a walking tour of Bath, and a bike tour of Krakow.

‘Best Tours Malta’ is also behind five other unique tours of the Maltese islands, including a Valletta food tour, a Three Cities walking tour, and Good Friday experience.
