TORNADO watch! Thunderstorms lash the Maltese Islands as forecasters issue warnings

Local weather forecasting site Malta Weather has issued a severe weather watch warning as thunderstorms hit the Maltese Islands.
As an upper-level through intensifies over the central Mediterranean, according to the site, we can expect lots of heavy rain, with the possibility of – get this – tornadoes!
