Toasty June continues! Real feel temperatures across Malta to hit 38°C this weekend
There can be no doubt that summer is well and truly here!

If you thought June had already cranked up the heat in Malta, think again. The island’s early summer scorch is far from over, with real feel temperatures expected to soar to a blistering 38°C on both Saturday and Sunday.

With barely a breeze and clear skies on the horizon, this weekend promises to be one of the hottest yet, and we’re not even halfway through the month!

If you're hoping the nights might offer some relief, you may be disappointed – overnight temperatures will hold steady, ranging between 22°C and 23°C throughout the weekend and into the start of next week.

There’s some good news… sort of. Monday and Tuesday are expected to see a slight dip in daytime highs, with maximums forecast at 33°C and 32°C respectively. However, the real feel temperatures will still hover above 35°C, thanks to a slow rise in humidity.

With the UV index peaking at 10, it’s essential to take sun safety seriously. Make sure to apply SPF, even if you're outside for a few minutes! You’ll also need to stay hydrated – your body definitely needs a lot more water than usual in the upcoming heat. It’s also best to avoid the sun between 11am and 4pm, as these are the peak UV hours.

Whether you're heading to the beach, lounging at a lido, or just getting from point A to B, this weekend is set to be a scorcher - plan ahead and stay safe.

Does this affect your weekend plans, or are you ready to sizzle?
