Time change alert! Winter time in Malta officially ends at 2am on Sunday
Turn them clocks, folks!

Jillian Mallia

The last weekend of March means two things: we’ve welcomed spring and we’re changing to summer time. Yes, believe it or not, that time of year has rolled round again. Can you believe it?

The government issued a reminder to all locals noting that, “this year's winter time in Malta will end at 2am, local winter time, on the morning of the last Sunday of March, that is 28th March 2021.”

The only downside to it all is that we’ll be sleeping an hour less between Saturday and Sunday (boo!). But hey, we’ll have more sunshine throughout the day, so that’s a bonus!

26th March 2021
