Thursday 22nd April: Malta registers 33 new cases & 36 new recoveries

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 33 new cases of COVID-19 after 2,129 swabs were done in the past 24 hours. 

The islands have registered 36 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 29,166 and the number of active cases to 519. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 30,096 cases and has performed 853,286 swab tests. Thankfully, no deaths were registered over the past 24 hours, meaning Malta's death tally remains at 411.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 22nd April, 295,587 vaccine doses have been administered to various people on the islands. 93,727 of these were second doses.
