What a throwback! To celebrate 100 years since its introduction to the local market, Darmanin Footwear took to social media to post a photo of how they used to receive new stock, way back in the early 90s.

‘This photo shows how we used to receive the new stock and put it into our stores at our Zachary Street Valletta shop’, writes the retailer on their Facebook post.

The photo shows a fully loaded truck in the middle of Valletta. One of the Darmanin 4^th generation cousins is seen handing out shoe boxes filled with new-stock shoes to one of the Darmanin brothers from the balcony.

‘The balcony used to come rather handy at the time’, continues Darmanin Footwear. ‘Needless to say, our stock handling system changed significantly since then’.
