A few localities around the islands are set to undergo planned power cuts this weekend due to maintenance works on the country’s hard-at-work power grid.

Fortunately, Enemalta, our local electricity provider, has published a list of localities that will be undergoing some planned maintenance works over the weekend. This way, you too can plan ahead.

These maintenance works are carried out regularly to ensure that the national electricity grid operates safely.

Only select streets from the following localities will be affected.

Here’s the full list of affected areas.

Saturday 20th August:

• Attard from 4:30am to 12pm
• Balzan from 7:30am to 2pm
• Birzebbuga from 7am to 1pm
• Hamrun from 4:30am to 12pm
• Luqa from 7am to 12pm
• Rabat from 7am to 2pm
• Santa Venera from 4:30am to 12pm
• Sliema from 8am to 1pm

Sunday 21st August:

• Lija from 8am to 1pm
• Qrendi from 1pm to 6pm
