Xlendi in Gozo has always been a popular spot which locals and visitors alike flocked to when they visit Malta’s sister isle. But this vintage shot is just something else!

Local Facebook user Farren Grixti shared side-by-side then and now photos of the popular bay that had us doing a double take! The first shot shows Xlendi Bay and the hill leading down to it with gorgeous seaside views.

The second photo shows the area today: a developed spot with an array of restaurants to choose from for your grub. Facebook users did comment however that they wish Xlendi was still as it was in the good old days and noting that Xlendi mustn’t be developed more or it will be lost forever.
