The Malta International Airshow 2025 is set to welcome back a rare and remarkable guest - the United States Air Force Boeing TC-135W Stratolifter.
Confirmed for static display, this will mark the aircraft’s second appearance at the show, following its impressive debut in 2023.
Operated by the 55th Wing at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, the TC-135W is a specialised training version of the renowned RC-135 reconnaissance family. While it lacks the full suite of mission electronics, it retains advanced avionics, making it a vital platform for crew training. Its distinctive elongated nose and sleek profile ensure it stands out among military aircraft on display.
The Stratolifter’s return emphasises the strong transatlantic connection between Malta and the United States in the field of military aviation. Visitors will once again have the rare opportunity to get up close to one of the USAF’s most unique aircraft.
With more announcements to come, the 2025 airshow promises another unforgettable weekend for aviation fans on the 27th and 28th of September.
