Take note! Malta Public Transport offers special services for San Girgor feast and Festa Frawli
Malta Public Transport has announced special services to accommodate passengers attending the upcoming San Girgor Feast in Marsaxlokk and Festa Frawli in Mġarr, ensuring smooth travel to these popular traditional celebrations.
For the San Girgor Feast on Wednesday, 8th April, additional buses will operate between Valletta and Marsaxlokk. Route 85 (towards Marsaxlokk) and TD10 (towards Valletta) will run at regular intervals, with morning departures every 20 minutes between 9:20 am and 11:40 am, and afternoon services from 12:35 pm to 3:35 pm. Return trips to Valletta will run from 10:05 am to 12:25 pm and 1:20 pm to 4:20 pm, providing increased capacity for locals and tourists alike.
For Festa Frawli on Sunday, 12th April, a dedicated shuttle service will run every 30 minutes between Ta’ Qali, Rabat Terminus, Infetti Road, and Mġarr from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with return trips from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. In addition, Route X44 will provide direct connections from Valletta, complementing the regular Route 44 service via Mġarr, with frequent departures throughout the day.
Holders of personalised Tallinja Cards can travel free of charge, while tickets for non-card holders are €2 for regular services and €3 for special routes. Passengers are encouraged to use the Tallinja app or website for real-time updates and route planning.
