Heritage Malta has announced that all of its museums and heritage sites will be closed on 19th December 2025. While visitors will not be able to access these locations on that specific day, the organisation has reassured the public that its dedication to sharing Malta’s rich cultural heritage remains as strong as ever.

As the national agency responsible for museums, conservation, and archaeological sites, Heritage Malta continues to play a vital role in preserving and celebrating the islands’ history.

From ancient temples and fortified cities to museums housing priceless artefacts, its sites offer a unique window into Malta’s past and identity. Although doors will be closed on this one date, visitors are warmly encouraged to plan their visit for another day.
