Stormy Halloween weekend ahead for Malta & Gozo? Here’s what to expect
Thunderstorms might crash the party before Halloween!

As October draws to a close, the skies over Malta and Gozo might be setting up to create some spooky ambience!

According to Maltese Islands Weather, Thursday 30th October (tomorrow) is forecast to bring isolated thunderstorms in the evening, with a 60% chance of rainfall ranging between 2mm and 9mm, so if you plan on any early trick or treating, make sure to keep an umbrella handy.

Luckily, Halloween night (Friday 31st October) is shaping up to be mostly dry. The day will feel quite warm, with temperatures reaching a real feel of 27°C, although moderate Force 5 winds could make it feel breezier than usual. As night falls, expect a noticeable drop in temperature, with a real feel of around 17°C, so you might want to incorporate a light jacket or cardigan into your costume!

Moving into the weekend, Saturday 1st November, could bring calmer winds but a chance of rain, with a 45% likelihood of thunderstorms developing. Weather watchers should stay tuned as forecasts evolve – conditions could shift closer to the weekend.

If you’re hoping for a bit of sunshine, Sunday looks like your best bet. The day is expected to remain mostly dry and partly cloudy, offering a pleasant window for outdoor plans or spooky activities to round off the weekend in a festive way.

So while this Halloween weekend might have a few surprises in store, there’s still plenty of opportunity to enjoy it – raincoat in one hand, pumpkin latte in the other!

Hoping for a little drama in the skies for Halloween?
