Storm Alert! Weekend weather forecast worsens as rain clouds inch closer to Malta
Not the weekend we were hoping for...

The weather forecast seems to be taking us for a quite a spin this week. Earlier, we reported a rainy weeklong spell, but reports later stated that the heavy downpours had been delayed to the weekend.

The bad weather is now reportedly looming closer to the Maltese islands, with multiple weather stations warning of a first hit to be expected tomorrow, Saturday. Rainfall and continued cold weather are to be expected, but one particular weather forecast delivers an especially grim fate, and we’re absolutely dreading it.

According to Malta International Airport's seven-day forecast, the odds are even less favourable than they initially appeared, with an increased possibility of a thunderstorm for Saturday. The forecast for the end of the week has not changed, except for an even higher chance of rainfall than predicted. Gale force winds, which were also reported earlier this week, will not be affecting the weekend but will likely sweep the lamp posts off the ground come Monday. Yikes!

Looks like its a stay-at-home-and-watch-Netflix kinda weekend, folks!
