Stay safe! Malta’s Red Cross issue warning to avoid certain beaches this weekend as strong winds are expected
Some of Malta’s favourite beaches are unfortunately on the list.

If you’re planning a day at the beach over the coming weekend in Malta, think again as the weather forecast is not looking too great.

Strong North-Westerly winds are expected to reach force seven, making certain Maltese beaches completely unsafe to swim in.

This is why Malta’s Red Cross, the first aid organisation that takes care of most of Malta’s beaches has issued a warning to avoid the following beaches:

  • Golden Bay
  • Ghajn Tuffieha
  • Gnejna
  • Fond Ghadir
  • Perched Beach

“These beaches will probably be on a double RED Flag”, they expressed.

You can still cool off and enjoy a swim in the Mediterranean Sea but instead visit the many other beaches that Malta and Gozo have to offer where the wind force might be weaker.
