St Julian's iconic Love sign is getting some much-needed TLC as works on the monument commenced in recent days.

"Restoration works on the Love Monument have commenced. Broken marble will be replaced, graffiti will be removed and an overall clean given," a post by the St Julian's local council read.

The monument, found in Spinola Bay, has the word 'love' inverted on purpose so it reads upright in the water's reflection. During certain times of the day, the sign's shadow also projects the word 'love' upright.

Yay!
