The weather’s set to clear up by the weekend.

We might be a couple of weeks into spring, but the weather’s still got a lot of catching up to do…

According to local weather page It-Temp Madwarna, Malta’s set to welcome isolated showers as well as a potential thunderstorm by tomorrow, Tuesday 10th May.

This, the page wrote, is caused by a low-pressure front locked over the centre of the Mediterranean Sea.

On the bright side, an anticyclone is set to extend over this same area and bring about better weather later on in the week.

“The weather’s expected to become sunnier towards the end of the week, as temperatures get closer to typical mid-May values,” It-Temp Madwarna wrote.

Winds will reach maximum strengths of Force Four as temperatures are expected get as hot as 25°C by the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday are set to be some of the hottest and sunniest days of the month, with the Malta International Airport’s meteorological office predicting a UV index of nine.

Better stock up on some sun block!
