Inspired by Neil Agius' incredible world-record-breaking endurance swim earlier this year? Now, you have the unique opportunity to learn from the man himself. On 3rd December, Neil, alongside seasoned strategy and business leader Jonathan Shaw, will share the mental techniques that helped him conquer the world’s longest unassisted open-water swim – a gruelling journey around the Maltese Islands' coastline.

Aptly titled ‘Redefine Your Limits’, this empowering event will take place at the University of Malta’s Sir Temi Zammit Hall. Attendees will not only hear Neil’s personal journey through a live Q&A session with Jonathan, but also discover techniques like breathwork and ice baths that can help anyone manage stress and push their boundaries in everyday life. The pairing of Neil and Jonathan, two powerhouse figures known for their determination and resilience, will undoubtedly create a dynamic energy on stage, one that is sure to inspire everyone in the audience.

A live ice bath demonstration will give the audience an up close experience of the powerful effects this technique can have on resilience and mental clarity.

Remaining calm and focused in the face of stress is essential in several moments of our day to day lives – from productivity at work, to raising children, to navigating challenging personal situations. The event will discuss tools that can aid one’s development in this area, creating room for enhanced focus, resilient leadership, sustainable habits and unleashing one’s potential.

This event is perfect for anyone – especially those in leadership or high-pressure roles – looking to build a mental toolkit to handle stress, overcome obstacles, and perform at their peak. Whether in sports, the arts, or your career, you’ll walk away with transformative strategies that can help you break through your perceived limits.

Companies are invited to bring their teams to this event, where they can explore tools for fostering a workplace culture centered on transparent communication, stress management, and holistic well-being. It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on achievements, gain inspiration, and discover strategies for improvement, while closing out the year and celebrating all their successes in 2024.

As Neil puts it, ‘In the corporate world, much like in ultra-distance swimming, success isn’t about a single burst of effort. It is about sustaining energy, drive, and commitment over time. By exploring The Ocean Mindset strategies that fuel record-breaking achievements, attendees can gain practical insights into staying focused, resilient, and effective under pressure.’

Jonathan Shaw, a trained performance and cognitive behaviour coach, was part of Neil’s land support team during his recent record-breaking 142-kilometre swim. He reflects on the experience: ‘Experiencing his journey firsthand made me deeply appreciate the intensity, resilience, and mental strength required for such an achievement. I’m passionate about the transformative power of mindset, both in sports and in professional life, so partnering with Neil to bring this story to a live audience felt like a perfect opportunity to share these invaluable lessons.’

When asked for his top advice for those wanting to push their limits, Neil’s words are simple yet profound: ‘Embrace discomfort as part of the growth process. Reaching new heights requires stepping beyond what feels comfortable or even possible. It’s about learning to quiet the mind, focus on the next small step, and trust the process, even when challenges seem insurmountable.’

Doors to 'Redefine Your Limits' open at 5.30 PM on 3rd December with the event starting at 6 PM – arrive early for the best seats, as seating is unreserved. Grab your tickets through the Neil Agius website today, and be ready to redefine your limits!

Will you be joining Neil and Jonathan for this unique opportunity?
