This year’s edition of Rockestra, held in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, will pay tribute to the late Maestro Aurelio Belli, who dedicated years of passion and hard work to the popular musical event.

Taking place on Saturday, 26th September, the concert will carry the theme What a Wonderful World, the title of Aurelio Belli’s favourite song and a fitting celebration of his life and legacy.

Belli’s family will be an integral part of the evening, with his wife, Gloriana Arpa Belli, among the featured performers. The concert will also bring together three musical directors – Daniel Cauchi, Kevin Abela and Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur – who all worked alongside Belli and will lead the musicians and performers together with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.

The line-up will feature some of Malta’s leading artists, including Ira Losco, Ivan Grech, Kenneth Calleja, Janice Debattista, Chris Grech, Pamela Bezzina, Martina Borg and Gloriana Arpa Belli. The group Animae will also reunite especially for the occasion, while several songs will feature arrangements created by Belli himself.

Described as an emotional edition, Rockestra will celebrate life, music and the lasting memories Belli created through the event.

A new photography exhibition will also showcase images from previous editions, creating a visual tribute to Rockestra’s history.

Tickets are available through Showshappening.com, with an Early Bird offer allowing audiences to buy four tickets for the price of three until the end of August.

The Rockestra After Party will also return to UNO Malta in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
