Good news for tennis fans!
A new National Tennis Centre was inaugurated in Pembroke last night.
Located at a formerly abandoned site close to the Melita Football Club, the centre includes six tennis courts equipped with an ITF-approved Greenset playing surface, similar to that used at the Australian Open, as well as high-quality LED lighting on each court.

It also comes with various facilities, including a physiotherapy room, dedicated spaces for athletes, and offices for the Malta Tennis Padel Federation.
The tennis centre, which cost around €2.8 million to build, was implemented by SportMalta in close collaboration with the Malta Tennis Padel Federation.
At the inauguration last night, Prime Minister Abela pointed out that Malta has made significant progress in tennis in recent years, winning ten medals – including three gold ones – for the sport in the last two editions of the Games of the Small States of Europe.
