Rainy end to March! Malta & Gozo to see isolated showers every day till April
Umbrellas at the ready!

Francesca Vella

March has already delivered nearly double its usual rainfall, and it seems determined to keep the trend going right till the end! From today, Friday 28th, through to Tuesday, April 1st, Malta and Gozo can expect isolated showers every day.

It won’t be raining non-stop or everywhere at once, though, so you should have some pockets of sunshine (or at least, breaks from the rain) to enjoy the countryside or the Freedom Day celebrations over the long weekend!

However, strong winds will be making their presence felt - the Gozo Highspeed service for today has already been cancelled, so make sure to stay updated if you plan on any sea travel. Tonight, gusts are expected to reach Force 7, continuing throughout Saturday before finally easing by Sunday evening. With any luck, this means Monday’s festivities can go ahead without disruption!

Are you planning an outdoorsy weekend or will you be chilling indoors?

28th March 2025
