The local explorer Pierre Farrugia is at it once again, and this time he takes his followers on an adventure combining trekking, climbing, snorkelling and caving along the gorgeous Xaqqa cliffs in Siggiewi.

Xaqqa Cliffs

Pierre’s expedition began with a short trek, after which came a treacherous climb down a steep cliff towards the sea, using the stainless steel rungs welded into the rock to help climbers. While taking on this challenge, the explorer advised anyone following in his path to take extra care and to use safety gear, as falling in the area could lead to serious injury.

His bravery was awarded however, as the climb led him towards a beautiful view of the sea, which he decided to explore using his snorkelling equipment, revelling in the pristine underwater habitat present in the largely undisturbed waters.

He then once again switched his fins for trekking shoes to explore the caves nearby, encountering a particularly narrow tunnel that wouldn’t be advisable for anyone with claustrophobia!

Once again, we owe a great debt to brave explorers like Pierre who provide constant reminders of the natural beauty that surrounds us!

Have you ever explored Xaqqa Cliffs?
