Qormi has lost a great woman: Mrs Vera Hyzler. Mrs Hyzler, who was politician Dr George Hyzler’s wife, is being mourned by family and Qormi residents alike.

“One more star will appear in the sky tonight,” her grandson Paul wrote on socials. “Rest in peace Nanna; I’m sure that a few familiar faces will be ready to welcome you with open arms in heaven.”

Qormi’s Ghaqda Socjo-Muzikali Anici also expressed their condolences to the Hyzler family during this time. “The President together with the Administrative Committee of the Ghaqda Socjo-Muzikali Anici, offers their condolences to the Hyzler family for Mrs Vera Hyzler’s death who was Dr George Hyzler’s wife who among many roles was once Honorary President of the Ghaqda.”
