Many are those that have a flawed perception of Asian cuisine, thinking that it consists of nothing more than sushi, ramen, and a handful of fried sides.

Fact is, however, that Eastern countries are home to a quasi-unending range of flavours that, up until a few decades ago, were pretty impossible to get a hold of locally.

Thankfully, top-notch eateries like St Julian’s’ very own Okurama International Taste are dead set on showing off the very best of Asian cooking, turning a once foreign culinary concept into many Maltese people’s favourite cuisine.

The Okurama brand spans three restaurants around Malta: Okurama Asian Fusion in San Gwann, Okurama International Taste at Dragonara Road in St Julian’s, and Okurama Japanese Cuisine & Lounge at Triq Paceville, also in St Julian’s.

Each and every Okurama restaurant serves up a unique set of dishes which we could talk about for literal days – today, however, we’ll be shifting our focus to Okurama International Taste.

Located on Dragunara Road, this eatery masterfully blends the freshest Japanese sushi with a variety of Asian tastes. By bringing together Thai, Indian, Japanese, and other Eastern flavours, the Okurama brand now offers a selection of dishes like no other.

Interesting dishes aside, Okurama International Taste’s delightful menu is prepared with the very best and most genuine ingredients, ensuring quality and freshness in every bite.

Planning a big event? You’ll be happy to find out that Okurama International Taste also caters for private parties and functions – either at the restaurant itself or at a venue of your choice.

Free parking at the Portomaso Car Park is also available for patrons dining at Okurama International Taste. One free parking coupon is given to a couple when spending a minimum of €30.

Okurama International Taste is open from Mondays to Saturdays between 6pm and 11pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 2:30pm and from 6pm to 11pm.
