Planning a ferry trip to Gozo? Valletta Port to close early on 22nd, 25th & 30th April due to Fireworks Festival
If you’re planning to hop between Malta and Gozo before April ends, make sure to double-check your travel times. The Gozo Highspeed service, which connects Valletta to Mġarr Harbour in Gozo, has announced schedule changes on select days due to the Malta International Fireworks Festival.
On the following dates, Valletta Port will close after 1:45 PM due to the fireworks preparations and celebrations:
- Tuesday 22nd April
- Friday 25th April
- Wednesday 30th April
For the Gozo Highspeed, the last departure from Valletta on these days will be at 1:45 PM, while the last departure from Mġarr in Gozo will depart at 12:45 PM.
This temporary change allows for safety precautions to be taken ahead of the vibrant fireworks displays that will be lighting up the Grand Harbour during the festival.
Gozo Highspeed has shared the full updated schedule for these dates on their official Facebook page, so make sure to follow them to stay informed and avoid any surprises.
