Oh no! Fire at an exotic pet shop in San Gwann costs the lives of two parrots
It is not yet clear what the cause of the fire was.

A fire which broke out at an exotic pet shop in San Gwann this afternoon has reportedly cost the lives of two parrots being held there.

The incident, which occurred around 2.30pm was immediately tended to by the Civil Protection Department who rushed to the scene to put out the fire.

Although no one was hurt in the incident, a number of animals kept at the King's Exotic shop, among them parrots, lizards, spiders and snakes, were extracted from the premises and reported to be in a weary state after inhaling fumes from the fire.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at the time of writing.
