Much-awaited annual Rockestra concert officially cancelled

This year’s edition of the annual Rockestra concert has officially been cancelled. The office of the President issued a statement regarding the cancellation in light of the spread of COVID-19.

“In light of the circumstance and directives issued by the Health Authorities for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, this year’s edition of Rockestra will not be held.” 

The decision was taken by the Office of the President together with the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation (MCCFF) after discussions were held regarding one of the biggest annual events with the aim of collection funds for those in need, the statement said.

The President’s appeal to locals

“While the Office of the President hopes that the COVID-19 sitaution in our country gets better and encourages everyone to adhere to the directives and advice issued by the Health Authorities, it also encourages everyone who can to contribute to the MCCFF so that it can continue helping those in need, as requests for help come in every single day,” it said.
