Monday 3rd January: Malta registers 812 new COVID-19 cases and 240 recoveries
122 virus patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital.

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 812 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered 240 recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 13,260.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 2nd January, Malta had administered 1,075,996 vaccine doses. 227,648 of these were booster doses.

No COVID-19 related deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll remains at 479.

A total of 122 patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital, seven of whom are in ITU.
