Mixed skies ahead! Malta & Gozo face a cloudy, wet and windy week
Some weather whiplash coming our way!

Francesca Vella

The gloomy start to this morning perfectly matched the post-long-weekend blues. After an Easter weekend filled with sunshine and mild temperatures, Malta woke up to grey skies, scattered showers, and a brisk chill in the air.

This unsettled pattern will define much of the week, with a mix of conditions on the horizon. Today (Monday), we can expect some brighter spells in the afternoon, although more showers may roll in later this evening.

On Tuesday, rain is expected again in the morning, accompanied by strong winds. Thankfully, conditions should ease slightly by the afternoon, with the sun making occasional appearances through the clouds.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday are your best bets for finding some sunshine. However, Thursday will also be quite windy, with gusts continuing from the northwest – a carry-over from Wednesday’s weather. These winds will likely stir up rough seas, so if you were planning a dip, it might be worth reconsidering.

One thing’s for sure – you’re definitely want to have a light jacket handy, as the temperature will be dropping to a chilly real feel of 12°C in the next couple of nights!

Are you enjoying the shift in weather or hoping for more warm days?
